Our old but up till now reliable Worcester 9.24 Electronic boiler has had slightly dodgy hot water for a while. Heating works perfectly but when you run the water it takes quite a while to heat up, yesterday evening it wouldnt get above luke warm and we noticed that water was dripping from the diverter valve and appeared to have been doing so for a while. Gave the diverter valve a bit of a squirt with oil and water started arriving OK and no more dripping water. This morning it all started again ie dripping water and only luke warm. Before ordering a new diverter valve just wanted to check on here to see what everyone thinks please? Also is it straightforward to fit please?

Its a long while since I went to one of them as they are now very old.

From what I remember the gas valve had to be removed to get the diverter valve out. If that's the case then its not a DIY job.

I suspect the diverter valve could be repaired though.
