heating is off and there's no taps open but the fan comes on intermittently for no reason. Any ideas why this would happen? boiler is working ok otherwise,

Some have a facility to keep the heat exchanger hot to improve the response when water is required, mine has a eco setting I have to push and hold the button to turn the facility on or off. The eco setting is with the preheat off so water takes little longer to come through.
