Hi, I have just bought a property with a Worcester Greenstar 24i installed.

I drained the system down and refilled it just to give it a flush out.

The hot water system seems to work fine but...
When I try the C/H the boiler fires up but clicks off after about 10-15 seconds.

The pump sounds like it is working but sounds like air is trapped in it, could this be a cause.

The auto air bleed appeared to work but I think there may be an air lock.
The pump gets hot but the C/H water outlet pipe is still cold.

Is there a way to bleed the boiler manually & could air in the pump be the cause of the problem?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

Look at the site FAQ on bleeding a pump!

Better still look at the FAQ before asking questions.

Alternitively, jsut having looked at the FAQs

check the zone valve(s). On reflection your problem could be a Zone Valve failure.

When you select CH, you should hear it move. If you don't that may be your problem.
