Hi,
I've recently moved into a property and have encountered problems with the gas supply. After countless phone calls to British gas and national grid the gas supply is now on but unfortunately the boiler is not working. It turns on but the blue light flashes every 3 seconds and red reset every second. I have tried to press the reset button but it doesn't respond. Can anyone give any tips on what to try to save the expensive call out charge that I have been quoted? Thank you in advance

You can't, as such. Just keep pressing reset and it will hopefully light with a fart noise. If after half a dozen attempts it doesn't work, then you won't have much choice.

Tried that and it didn't work. Could an engineer purge the air within 30mins? It would save paying double the price

if boiler has never worked since you moved in ,the supply to the boiler may have been isolated when prior owners moved out. is it a combi ? take pics of low down on boiler where all the copper pipes reach the boiler. and post here.

Yes it is a combi. Do you have an email I can send the pictures to direct. New to here and it's a mither to upload pictures
