My son has just moved house and finds some of the rads don't get hot, others only get hot at the top, the problem rads being upstairs, esp. on the 3rd floor. The vendors have not left any instruction manuals and our son is clueless about CH. He didn't know where the pump was; hadn't spotted anything that looked like one. I had suggested trying to bleed the cold rads but with the pump off. Does anyone know whether this boiler has an integral pump? I don't know anything about combis. His wife says she has tried bleeding the rads (probably while the pump was running) but nothing came out even after a long time. Could it be anything other than balancing, bleeding or sludge?

I have read that this is not a very good boiler. Do you agree?

the pump is built in

if you have been bleeding rads have you topped the pressure up :?:

see FAQ 6th post i think

if you need the book e mail me (e mail in profile)

Thanks, Kev. I've read that now. I bet they haven't left the plastic key either but will check. By book, do you mean the instruction manual? If so, it wd be rather a lot to download and print out presumably so I'll see if I can get one from the manufacturers first.

Well, the FAQs you referred me (No 6) to said you needed a large plastic key for this boiler if you were talking about the filling loop.
