not with a disconnected tranformer it wasnt
It was tested by the engineer using a test rig so I’m assuming that had power otherwise how would it get a reading…

So now you are saying a breakdown engineer turned up your house with a test rig ??? stop digging , Im out
Thanks for help so far Ian. Just to clarify the engineer took the transformer and tested it. He doesn’t carry test rigs with him in the van.
Are there any other qualified gas safe engineers that have came across this problem that could advise ?
