Worcester Receiver DT10RF - Buttons Not Working?

Hi,

This is my first post so thank you for reading!

We have had no issues with this since it was installed over 2 years ago. We came back from a weekend away and went to turn up the heating a notch but the + button didn't work, and nor did any of the other buttons on the receiver. The heating and hot water are still working fine, the timers are still okay but the actual buttons on the reciever aren't having any effect when you press them. My dad was at our house when we were away and said he pressed the buttons on the bottom (!) so basically i've no idea what he's done!

Any ideas?

It's not communicating with the thermostat, try new batteries

Thanks! The heating and hot water are working fine so I didn't think about the batteries as there is still a signal symbol working on the boiler itself? None of the buttons are working including the ones along the bottom that you press to turn it off or adjust the timing/turn it to auto etc? It's like they have just frozen.
