looking to replace our boiler with a newer version..which condensing combi boiler is best out of..

a Worcesterbosch cdi30 or a vaillant 30..?

worcester cdi vgoodafter sales service

vaillant very poor after service at the moment

baxi don't bother been back to 6 duo tec diverter valve leaking since october!! ugly t''#@ts too :)

Never listen to anyone who works for IDEAL boilers, probably worse bit of kit available in the uk at the moment

I am not standing up for the Baxi but it comes with 5 year warranty ,just check what warranty you get with the other two

so does Ideal logic plus miles better blr. in my opinion

5years warrenty parts & labour

Idont work for Ideal

The logic is the biggest bag of pooh on the market today and is the reason they are now reducing all prices and giving away free bundles of copper when you buy one.

The Baxi is a fantastic bit of kit which is easy to install, easier to maintain and an engineers dream for servicing and repairs.

I have fitted Baxis/Pottertons for over 3 years now and never been back to one and that must be 150+ installs.

I would go with the bosch. Duo Tech had some issues myself. Vaillants good too but as other post after sales stuff not so good

Another pile of poo coming out ,I would not inflict that boiler on my worst enemy i feel sorry for those poor souls who have them on a grant

I saw it at installer live last year, what about honouring the warranties on the other boilers, lies more lies then there is ideal

I would rather fit RAVENHEAT then an IDEAl

IS the special offer buy 15mm copper and u get ideal logic free, even at that price it would be too expensive
:) :) :)

It looks like the IDEAL disinformation machine is not working, instead of wasting time here why doesn't this company listen to the proper greviances from installers as well as customers and improve the product or will they keep relying on the warmfront scam and fleece the customers on the after market for horrendously priced spare parts

which hopefully will come to an end as soon as we get a new government

Logic and logic plus are virtually identical, save for the posher control panel on the plus, so how come one has two years and one has five years... Oh, yes one is priced higher to allow for this... Baxi do the same but the price difference is much larger .. Five year guarantee means nothing whilst you are taking another day off work to wait for the repair man... again.

I think that the Logic plus is a reasonable boiler but not the superior piece of kit that it could have been to make up for all the junk that they have made in the past

I have a customer who is over 80 and relied on gas fires to heat her little bungalow.. She had not enough money to have me fit her heating so I contacted Warmfront on her behalf... Went to have a look at it today, Worcester 24i Junior, honeywell prog stat, TRVs on all the rads, piping done in a logical, tidy way... Very nice job, very happy and warm little old lady. Not that I'm saying that all WF jobs are this good mind, but in this case it worked as it should

Ideal logic is not getting fitted on warmfront as far as i know.

Last decent/only Ideal Boilers (and i live in Hull where they are made and thus help the local economy) are the Mexico and the Cast Iron HE Classic all else are a bag of 5 knucklers.
Serviced an Icos yesterday which was fitted on the WF scheme only 6 months ago, the fan is on its way out and making a right din, phones ideal to find out warranty via warmfront only to be told (which i never knew at time) because the house was sold after fitting the warrenty is now void as they beleive their contract was with the customer not the boiler

yet another example of Ideal worming its way out of a warranty then!
this is exactly the reason i never put a customer name or contact on any warranty card. just the boiler and property details.

edit: sorry OP in answer to the original question either boiler will be ok, We fit Vaillant 831's all the time, but if we need help we just phone our local rep and leave him to get group service to attend, some reps are good (like ours) others are twots!
