This probably sounds simple but this driving me mad! Im trying to produce a piece of a4 with a black border around all sides of it about 1/2" from the margin. Im using the borders and shading option for the page and its drawing one on the page absolutley beautifully. When i come to view it or print it the line at the bottom of the page is missing and shifting onto the next page, before ive evn written something on it. HELP!!!!

have you "checked" the options in borders, you can adjust it from there

how about moving the border up, so when it prints it will be in the right place? and what else have you tried?

Check you are printing the right paper size - like A4 in europe or Letter in North America.
You should also check your printer settings, some printers, notably old laser ones seem to have a large bottom margin, and will simply chop anything at the extreme top, bottom or sides off the page without warning you.

i overlooked the printer, i agree it may be a printer stiing that is wrong
