After some work on my combi CH system I've just refilled it and put inhibitor in. I've just discovered that I've got a dead leg on my DHW system which I'd like to take out. Is it ok to switch off the boiler, shut the main stopcock into the house, open all the taps in the house to drain the domestic side and then work to remove the dead leg from the DHW system or do I have to drain the whole CH system (with inhibitor!) as well. I don't imagine that I'll have to drain the boiler as well but I'm not sure so I thought I had better check on here. Thanks.

The DHW is separate from the central heating circuit so no need to worry about having to drain it.
You may also find you can shut off the incoming cold water supply at the boiler itself and leave all the house cold taps still working.
