Hi, Got a question for anyone who knows something about wooden worktops. Just had oak worktop installed, and decided to enhance colour by using a coloron wood dye which gave a lovely brown matt finish on an offcut, when used with a standard [MFI] worktop oil satin finish.
However when put on the actual worktop with three coats of oil has gone a horrible red brown colour and looks far too glossy.
What has gone wrong, anything can be done to rectify the situation, any wood experts out there got advice?
