worktop veneer edge

I've always in the past made a decent job of finishing the ends of worktops by applying pva and ironing the veneer on over a piece of brown paper. I've noticed recently though that the veneer often comes rolled up and is impossible to get flat.

Does anyone have a better method?

Yep,,, Don't buy the worktop edging from B&Q

squeaky - use a thixotropic contact adhesive.
