fixing a pan to a solid floor ??
With WING NUTS? Would look a bit nasty Space

Why has the background been 'Photo-Shopped' Chris?

EDIT: Just realised its your Keyboard. Thought this may be some cryptic quiz :?

RE-EDIT: Its that Nut 'above' the Wing Nut that is getting me. :? Why the hell would you need that Nut there?????? Hmmmmm! The end with the Nut screws into something then tightens with that Nut then the other end.... Nah, scratch that?????

Oh come on Chris givus a clue man! Its nearly bed time. I'll never be able to sleep with this on me mind! :(

Hey Space! Cannot believe it... He's only gone off line!!! I'll NEVER sleep!!!

FOrget the nut, it just came with the Rawlbolt. It doesn't help or hinder.
I just fuzzed the background, in about 4 clicks, because I thought it was distracting. That was a success then!

It would do nicely for a ceramic cistern, although a bit long overall.

The domed washer would go betwixt wall and cistern, with the galv washer on the watery side. The wingnut would be a bit easier (than a screw) to undo, even when the stud eventually rusts.

My favourite is still a brass No. 8 screw into a red wall plug, with a 3/4 tap washer (or two) behind the cistern to cushion it, and a 1/2" delta washer on the inside with a brass screw cap fitting nicely over the delta washer.

Ok then. A Basin Mounting Bolt?

It looks perfect for fitting a cistern to a wall to me, the nut and penny washer first to fix the rawlbolt in the wall. Then the rubber then the cistern held by the wingnut. Is that anywhere near?

Yeah I hear ya Sooey but using an Anchor? Its a bit over kill aint it?

Grrrrrrrrr! This is getting me now! Is it actually for a Plumbing related fix Chris?

The "bugger" was because softus got in first as usual , yeah the anchor may be overkill, but chris asked what it was for and I can only think of the answer I gave. Or maybe certain basins.
