Ive read in posts that some of you write letters to your MP, just curious to know to anyone who has done so,

Did you get a reply?

How long did it take to get a reply?

Who replied?

Did it make a difference?

Yes I have.

Got a reply? yes.

How long did it take to get a reply? about two weeks.

Who replied? My MP supposedly.

Did it make a difference? Not one iota, just waffle.

Just imagine police Officers searching your home and arresting you, and detain you for nine hours as part of an investigation into the leaking of government documents.
you write to your MP and complain, I think you'd get short shift, unless of coarse you are a politician, I think its a waste of time but I,m not saying you shouldnt bother.

Yes, it is interesting Richard that an MP gets arrested and held and there is all sorts of furor about it in the HoP. The fact that so much time and effort has gone into this by all parties has been getting me a bit wound up I have to admit. We'd be lucky to get a mention in PMQs if it were one of us! One rule for one etc.

Why all the fuss.

Member of the opposition, thrown into jail, detained for 9 hours, no search warrant.
This sort of intimidation happens all the time in Kenya.......Wait....Wait....Hang on a minute.

yes! it's wrong! but its just the indignation of these mp's, like " how dare they do that to one us" but the rest of us ordinary folk that vote them in, can go rot in hell, you know that if it happened to YOU they wouldn't give a dam. I think maybe its good for them to every now again get a taste of a bit of unfairness, stop and search them every now and then

our local MP has an open surgery in the village hall about every other month i think where you can ask questions and she will get the answers

Are MP's above the law and shouldn't be treated like everyone else is?

I must complain when my time is next wasted being pulled over in my car for an inspection.

Dear Local MP.
I'm sure you must be very interested to know that today I was pulled over by a member of Her Majesty's police force in my vehicular transport whilst going about my business.
Please by reply inform me of the measures you intend to take to stop a repetition of this happening again.

Keep up the good work in ensuring that my wellbeing is of primary concern to you and that you remembered that I didn't slam the door in your face during the time you were canvassing around where I live.

Look forward to you sparing some of your very busy time in getting one of your tax deductable secretaries to reply to this letter within the next year or so.

Your humble constituent
Tim
