See Original post, does my vehicle have manual child locks, no point ripping out the door cards to fix something that’s not broken.

Had both panels off , effected a strengthening of both door pulls, I can see they operate at the lock, but still neither will open.

I'm sorry, that didn't work.
From the 2004 handbook, there are the only two options, and I guess you've seen these already:

If you have the button, you have the electronic version and it's worth checking the switch operation etc.
