Should always have one rad without trv
Yes I agree, but older systems may not and was just relating to a Y plan with these.
New systems I fit with vaillant combis and weather compensator/programmer/room thermostat plugged in boiler I dont though, as boiler has built in fully adjustable auto bypass and as room stat is on boiler you therefore have no room that needs a stat so fit all with trv's.

We know that(old systems) , but the guy who thinks he`s a heating engineer don`t . On new Y plans and i fit an auto bypass , just in case they do that bit of decorating and the decorator removes the rad with no TRV .
