I purchased a Yale Alarm 3 months ago and installed it as per the instructions and initially all was well.
After a couple of weeks we had an issue where having returned home we tried to disarm via the main keypad and it would not respond at all. It was as if it was dead. The display wouldnt light up despite there being digits (date etc..) visible. This had the result of the alarm sounding. Eventually we managed to get some response and did de-activate the alarm.
This appeared to be a one off as it was fine for a few more weeks. Now it seems to have totally stopped working as the alarm is disarmed and when we have tried to arm it the keypad again does not work at all and the alarm just will not arm.
Can anyone advise what I should do?
I spoke to the store purchased from to ask what I do re the fault ie uninstall the whole system and return or return just the keypad. Plus if just the keypad how will this work re a replacement? I assume I will have to learn a replacement in? How does this work?
Any ideas would be much appreciated as I am at a bit of a loss.
Thanks Lisa

first check that none of the rubber number buttons are being trapped in the down position by the casing. This can result in the problems you have described.

Now who feels really stupid!!!!

Just checked and that appears to have been what has occurred..

Thanks so much for the speedy response..

Next time I will be more careful.

Thanks again.. Lisa
