Hi all.

I'm looking for a wee bit of advice.

Homebase have been flogging off their Yale branded alarms mucho cheapo & I've ended up buying 2 (I used to be indecisive) & am not sure which one to go with.

I have aYale EF-Series Telecommunicating Alarm Kit (£90)....

And also also got the Smart kit (SR-330) (£131)...
amazon.co.uk/Yal…4U4

Which one to keep & use & which to return ??

I've also picked up some extra PIR's, Key Fobs, door contact & a portable keypad

I'm just really after the one that the family (wifie & 2 teenage girls) are likely to use and the one least likely to have my neighbors wanting to lynch me.

My house is a detached 4 bedroom lump of granite.

I know that neither of these are likely to be top of your recommended systems but I live in a very low crime area and I'm really just taking advantage of what seems to be a billy bargain and increasing the odds of a bad un choosing my neighbors gaffe instead of mine.

I'm not overly bothered about the Camera PIR but one concern I have is that Yale drop server support for the Smart Alarm in the future rendering it more of a Thick Alarm. Would this be a similar issue with the Telecommunication system?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Always changing batteries use old alkaline AA batteries not lithium.
