Hi all
my boiler is losing pressure.
It seems to be only happening when we use the central heating which suggests that its a leaking component in the system.
Thing is this has been going on for a year or so ( we tend to use the log burner rather than the ch) so I would have thought if it was a hidden pipe we would have seen water damage by now and if it was a valve I would presume we also would have seen the water as we have bare boards. The pressure has dropped from 1.5bar to 0.7 in about 2 weeks (we have used the heating more than usual)
I have seen a suggestion to test every visible pipe and valve with blueroll, which I will do soon.
I have just discovered my homeserve covers me for plumbing leaks inc ch pipe/rads but not boiler work.
So is there anything to check on the boiler before I call them out? I will check the prv (bag over the outlet pipe)
Is there any other test where I can at least confirm if its the boiler or something else?
Thanks in advance
