i have jst changed what i thought was the EGR valve, but i have since been told that i changed the EGR solonoid

any one know where the actual valve situated??

If it's the same as the vectra, it's on the front of the head. Will have quite a large pipe going to it.
You can usually get away with just scooping all the crud out of them and cleaning them out with some petrol rather than changing them
