Terrible noise from fan but doesn't seem to be fan at back but noise in roof - is there a 2nd fan? Are service calls out very expensive? Is it possible to diy repairs on these ovens? Wehave to turn off at mains when finished cooking as it goes on for ages.

Yes there is a cooling fan in the roof & that is what's causing the noise. They are very easy to change but obviously the oven needs to be disconnected/removed first. Post the PNC number on the identification plate & I'll give you a link to spares. P.S. avoid turning off at the mains when you are finished cooking. The cooling fan must run to get rid of residual heat. A noisy fan is better than a house fire/damaged control module.

The product no is 949712289 and serial no. 70706683 - (haveing a bit of trouble with this pc today, sorry). Very grateful for your help, and will keep the fan on in furutre.

The Zanussi part number for the cooling fan is 3581990839. Original parts are more expensive than pattern alternatives. You can get an original here http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/search/3581990839/ Or shop around online for a pattern alternative quoting your model, PNC number, or part number as stated above. Removal/fitting is easy...power off, oven out, roof off, 2 cable connections a couple of screws & you're there. Good luck:cool:
