Zanussi Marking clothes

When we use our Zanussi washer dryer WDS 1183 W on 95 degree wash for whites, we get a regular pattern of black marks on our white towels which matches exactly the pattern of the holes inside the drum. I have tried pushing a cotton bud through all the holes (took ages) and none of them caused any marking on the cotton bud.
Can anybody help?

We dont use it to dry so it must be a wash problem.
