Can or should zinc flashing be painted and if so, what should be used?

Hi Have fitted plenty but never seen it painted. But the primer used for galvanised steel would act as a base if adding paint. Good Luck
zinc shouldn't be painted, nor should lead. Metals oxidise with air to form a uniform colour. Not sure why you would want to paint it, it won't make it last any longer.
