zwf 1421w filling with water

The machine filled up with water even though the power wasnt on.
It was put on a drain and spin cycle to empty it, but it filled up again.
I can drain it and put it on a spin but it wont run a wash cycle.
Ive turned the water valve off to prevent any more water going to the machine.
Can anyone suggest whats wrong?
