I'm looking into running a 10mm earth from the gas meter to MET.
a portion of the route is through the external cavity wall, but it's filled with rockwool. i don't fancy running it up the outside of the wall in ducting stuff.
are there any regulations against me doing that?

You can bond within the meter cabinet, I don't see why thermal insulation would be an issue.
But why do you need to do this?
“where practical”. If it is practical, ideally you would put the bond to the service within 600mm of the meter (if internal) or within 600mm of the pipe entering the property if it’s an external meter. However, if it is impractical to do any of these, you can put the bonds in places which are more practical as long as the places of the bonds are put on the certificate you issue.
