It still works out far cheaper to get a mate of a mate do do the job then get someone

I't also works out far cheaper to buy a property and do it up youself rather than letting someone incompetent paper over the cracks then sell it at an over-inflated price.

Well, tell the prospective purchaser that you don't have the paperwork but they can have a few hundred quid off the price if they want to get it sorted later. Chances are they won't.

I reckon the main issue here is the boiler falling off the wall as everything else can be checked relatively easily with a CP12

can you not sell a house without the boiler being registered like? Thought the HIP's pack were being done away with.

Solicitors ask a lot of questions we had this when we sold the mum in laws after she died, we could not find the certificate or any servicing records and had to have a inspection done at our cost before our buyers would sign the contract

Not up on the terminology as I am not a heating engineer but I know they did a full service and safety check but wouldnt know what this involved

I am guessing checking for combustion and gas analysis etc :confused:
