Yale and Chubb state that their new products are'nt affected by radio, taxi's etc, and that they won't activate the system like the older models did.
Is this true or has anyone had problems with them.

Fitted 4 Yale systems & had zero problems. Only false alarm was when window was open.

its bull, pure bull.

reason is, its radio, radio does, has and always will suffer from interferance, intentional or not

only install radio if there is no other way!
and do notuse a mickey mouse 1 from a diy store, get a pro 1 off line, like a scantronic!

I wouldn't call Yale a micky mouse company?

I have fitted a number of CQR radio systems and had no problems, excellent range and you can set them up with a laptop, built in speech dialer nice two.
Fitted a few Scantronic radio expanders (hybrid) but very dissapointed with range.
As with the other comments here if you choose an installers recognized brand you should be ok.
Don't go for anything with a solar powered Siren, always hard wire the Siren

of what use is it to know your house is on fire when you are not there?

its not its a waste of time, and if anything causes more accidents as you put your foot down to get there quick to find it was a false alarm, or if it is burning what are you going to do about it anyway, unless you have some marshmallows and a stick

edited as hoses dont burn too well but houses do

I have to agree, yale locks good.

Yale seem to have realised there is some money to be made in alarms, so they jumped on the band wagon with their own brand of diy stuff which is mostly chinese boats

if it wasnt so, why have they brought out new versions that says does not false alarm if................. that says the old ones did, which was true because all yale did (alegedly) was buy some chinese boats and re badge it

Yale are good at making locks.

thank you for the support! i stated yale as mickey, as i have dam good reason! there pants! they should keep to lock making... and let the security boys manufacture the secuity stuff!
who wants a yellow box with yale written on it stuck on ya house?

I can't say i'm too bothered hat colour the box is so long as it deters theives! I'm perfectly happy with mine as are the other owners of theirs, it does the job and was priced well. All those slating them-have you first hand experience of them?

yes the build quality is also chinese boat.

chinese boat = junk

Well i'm sorry i have to disagree, nothing broke when installing them and nothing has gone wrong yet. Only time will tell but at the moment couldn't be happier.
