Tonyboy performa. diaphragm, board or air pressure switch. or if your lucky no pressure.

got a new fuse from my local store. Luckily..... :) put it in and turned heater on. Can hear the heater making a slight noise (so assume it is now working)!!!! hopefully can have a shower in 1/2 hour! thanks again.

Nah,got to change the O ring on the flow pipe going into the heat exchanger (left hand side) and those stupid spring clips one of which has corroded due to the small water leak over time from the O ring.

Paid for an overnight delivery as no one had the clips in stock, £30 for two clips ,two O rings and delivery

As I said very early on the quickest way to test an immersion IF you are competent is to test the VOLTAGE across the element first!

VOLTS and no heat means o/c element. NO VOLTS means no supply so its never going to be getting hot.

Ifs far safer to only test for voltage unless you are very competent. Testing continuity on possibly live contacts risks blow the meter!

I still dont think crazychic is safe to do these kind of tests on his/her own. I am concerned for everyones safety and electricity is more damgerous than gas.

Tony
