Maybe too late :(

We should adopt a doormans stance, (a thankless job that I did for 18 months) Some words for our border force.

1. Sorry mate we're full. :P

2. F**k off

Labour now blames immigrants from rest of the world, but it's a problem that has snowballed over the past 2 or 3 years with the open borders policy of the EU. In theory, 4 or 5 hundred million people from EU countries have the right to come here and settle if they wish. Crazy!! Britain was built over the centuries by immigrants who came to settle here, we know that, but Britain is now being flooded and swamped with a swelling, out of control population, because of crazy thought ideas by brainless British politicians who would do anything to please their foreign political masters in Brussells. :x

Roughcaster.

The Poles might be going home - but I bet the Roma aren't.

We need to get rid of all the parasites from around the world already here who take take take and give nothing back. Those who work hard and pay tax regardless of race should be welcomed with open arms. Even the english dolebludgers should be forced into goverment labour schemes or be denied benefits.

So, basically you think we need to get rid of all the parasites from around the world already here (English, Welsh, Scots, Irish, etc) who take take take and give nothing back.

I see nothing to support your assertion. Firstly, it isn't "Labour" making the decisions, it's the government. The Labour Party comprises 100% Labour supporters, whereas the government doesn't. Do you not understand the difference between the two?

Secondly, rather than blaming, the government is recognising the economic problem inherent in poor immigration controls.

If it's so crazy, then why do you criticise the governement for taking action?

And there we have it - the rant.

If you believe that the population is out of control, then why do you object to the government agreeing with you and attempting to do something about it?

i think the way you get benefits needs changing, years ago when i had the misfortune to be unemployed (last recession)because i had paid all my dues(tax&n/insurance)i was only entitled to unemployment benefit, now if i hadnt paid my dues i would of been entitled to income support, which gives you a hell of a lot more benefits free dentistry/prescriptions/etc etc, totally unfair.if they come to this country they should be given the bare minimum, not what they get now.they have never given to our system but they expect it all.charity should begin at home.

What I meant was the english, welsh, scots parasites must stay as it is their sovereign state but they must earn their keep. The foreign nationals who aren't contributing to the system by paying taxes and working should deported back to where they came from.

Yes, I was being somewhat mischievous.

But, more seriously, what about the ones who can, but don't, earn their keep?

Those capable but unwilling to earn their keep will be stopped benefits and put in enforced labour camps as a last resort if they refuse litter picking, graffiti removal, and other community service roles.

Labour by holding the most seats in the government are the governing party and were put into power with just over a fifth of the electorate. This is of course a result of first past the post, something Nu-Torylabour and the Tories are reluctant to change,I wonder why.

Seems fair to me.

You're so nearly right that I'm not going to split hairs.

...and were put into power with just over a fifth of the electorate.
And yet the 40% of voters who chose not to vote still feel entitled to whinge and whine and moan and criticise.

IMHO, free speech about government policy should be licensed, and one should have to vote in order to get one - everyone else should just shut up and wait until the next election.

Politicians have only themselves to blame for the low numbers turning out to vote. These leeches are now a law unto themselves. Whether you vote or not, nothing changes. This Labour government never had a clue how many immigrants would come here from the EU/Accession(former Eastern Bloc countries) .. Their projection was "hugely" under-estimated. They originally predicted 13,000 per year would arrive, but in reality, more than 600,000 came. They just keep coming in, numbers keep growing and the government, despite public concerns from at least 40 local councils, schools, health trusts, social services etc, never listened. They were accused by some councils of fiddling the figures downwards, when electoral registers and National Insurance registrations showed significant increases. Now, at long last, with numbers out of control, reality has finally caught up with them, and they are taking action..... Too little, too late. It took the credit crunch and the inevitable problem of high unemployment here at home, to start the alarm bells ringing...not the growing countrywide public concern which had gone unheeded, and was always to be brushed under the carpet, and classed as racism,,,, just to stifle debate. We now have that debate....Unfortunately, we can't do a thing about immigrants coming here from the EU, we have to let them in regardless,, so now, many of our friends and possibly even relatives from Commonwealth countries, and other non EU countries around the world, mostly hard working and law abiding people, are subject to immigration controls, and are being used as scapegoats to keep numbers down. This government is now reaping what it has sown... How can we praise them for taking action now, when they are to blame, totally, for the mess we are in, immigration wise.

Roughcaster.
