Does anyone know where I can download the MIs on this boiler it doesn`t have an air pressure switch & I`m thinking of replacing the fan which is dodgy but am not sure how it fires up without an APS. Thanks for your time. I know it`s discontinued & the Glowworm site doesn`t hold any literature on it. Thanks again. I have also tried searching this forum but it doesn`t appear to have been covered.

No but perhaps if you look for information re Swiftflow then you might find what your looking for.

I doubt very much however that any combi boiler was ever manufactured without an APS.

It definitely doesn`t have connections from the fan for an APS is what I meant to say, it must be some sort of microswitch, can`t find anything on the Glowworm site, the APS must be operated electrically, just haven`t worked on one of these before and wanted to read up, if anyone else can help I`d appreciate it.

Think you should edit the subject header.

Some boilers don't have the APS connected to the fan some of them simply have two tubes from the APS going into the combustion chamber. On some older boilers the APS is fitted outside the combustion chamber near the control box.

OK, thanks for that so the airflow in the combustion chamber is monitored, rather than the airflow at the fan itself, fair enough, that`s why I wanted to have a scope at the MIs, thanks for your help Tony & if anyone can help me out with the MIs I`d be grateful. Cheers all.

I think from memory that this perticular boiler does not have an aps, i am led to belive that if the combustion fan was to fail, which is quite a common factor with this boiler :( and due to this the main burner and pilot burner, without any oxygen being drawn into the combustion chamber, hense the main burner will then become very unstable as the flame goes in search for some fresh air!, which will cause the pilot to extinguish also.
this is something that i have come accros on quite a few occassions, i hope this helps :D

gavinda im sorry if I have touched a nerve somewhere along in this thread, i have not gone into detail regarding this boilers specific operatinal sequence or any of its safety features i was purely detailing the exact chain of events should the fan fail on this boiler
