Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Good grief.

Ha, I can't believe someone get in enough of a flap to go to the ASA.
Oh I can, and if I had the time I'd complain to them about every single one of RA's lying cheating thieving products until they were driven out of business

It's a take-it-or-leave-it product for a market thats subjective and often obsessive by nature.......so only a fool can claim to be disappointed in a product.
So do you not think that there should be any regulations to prevent lying cheating thieves taking advantage of fools?

"So do you not think that there should be any regulations to prevent lying cheating thieves taking advantage of fools?"

The governments been doing it for years mate.

For years they've been killing people who don't do what they like too, so would that make it alright for me to get rid of this particular lying cheating thief by killing him?

What, like most religions? It's probably a good job you don't have the time, isn't it?

If I win the lottery I shall take up vexatious litigation as a hobby.

I quite fancy having a pop at councils who deliberately make roads dangerous and damaging to drive along at the posted speed limit....

Oh, so would I! either that or tell everyone to f off, and become a recluse.

Oh, I'm so with you on that one. I'd make myself such a constant annoyance to government, from representation for over zealous parking tickets all the way to showing that the failure of our police to deal with crime voids the understanding that we surrender our moral right to take retribution so that criminals can be judged impartially, and such rights should be reinstated and recognised in law until such time the police can get to grips with things. I've got lots of ideas, I'd probably get capped by MI5.

But overpriced snake oil is a long, long way down the list... You've got ebay ticket touts and allsorts of truly vile scum before them

Overpriced cables are bad enough, but at least when connected they do actually allow the signal to pass along them.

As for this device:
http://www.russandrews.com/product.asp?pf_id=5740
No power supply, no wires, does not connect to anything. Apparently works just by placing it next to your radio.
And just why would people prepared to spend over 10K on a speaker cable be listening to AM radio in the first place?

It's funny - earlier on I typed a post to say maybe it's some form of Darwinism in that the idiots who fall for RA's hokum will end up less wealthy, and therefore will tend to become in some ways less attractive and therefore in some ways less able to attract a mate, but I decided it was a bit too harsh to click Submit... :?

A quote from a previous Master of the Rolls (senior judge)

"The law is not here to prevent a fool from being parted from his money"

His name was Deming.

That will be the same Denning who refused to allow the Birmingham Six appeal to proceed simply because the prospect of their claims of police malpractice being found to be true was too appalling to contemplate, and who lamented that it would have been so much better if six innocent people had been put to death by the state and the whole affair could have been forgotten.

Forgive me if I find him despicable and his history of rulings irrevocably tainted.

Although what any of this has to do with Electrics is becoming increasingly unclear...

Maybe it has gone off topic slightly but its quite interesting.

Keep it up lads.

PS Agree about Denning by the way.
