Exposing RSJ

Hi

I would like to expose the RSJ in the centre of my lounge as a decorative feature.

Are there any building regulations that I must adhere to please ?

I am aware that it must be painted with fireproof paint.

If you live in an old mill, that might be understandable, but other than that....?!

Other than fire, you might fall foul of sound transmission, if you have an over-zealous BCO.
