pump refuses to turn off after CH/HW as finished runs forever until i switch off the isolator this happens 80% of the time. Any ideas please

Surely a pump overrun issue, if it were the valve the boiler would still be running too.

Depending on the way it is wired.
It is another option though, but without any info which the op can not be bothered to supply, we will never know.

Wall star balanced flue oil type
never had any issues for 10 years
its got two danfoss valves
vented i think
the boiler does shut down as well
sorry about the lack of info but thats why i am asking guys i need help please.

HRM Wallstar doesn't have pump overrun so the boiler must carry on too......

Are you sure of your info?

Have a look inside the External part of the boiler, right at the bottom, under thec burner is a little flap of black rubber, if you lift this up you will see an Engineer's Test Switch, make sure this is NOT set to TEST otherwise all internal controls are overidden, it is all too easy for a Service Engineer to forget to return the switch to AUTO or RUN position
I know i've done it myself, always on a job 50 or more miles away!

All is ok in the external boiler housing, plus the pump does sometimes do what its told too, is this clock related or valve related maybe and if so which and how do i know ?
