Alright lads
i'm putting in the heating and hot water for my sisters new house and was wondering what you think of the viessmann vd200 system boiler. We tend to fit valliant, alpha or biasi. i've never fitted a viessmann before and was wondering if you had any thoughts. I've been reading up on them and they seem pretty impressive, but are they worth the extra money? The house is going to be over three floors and having underfloor on ground and first floor with rads on top floor with unvented HW.
Cheers....

On the whole, the opinion seems to be that they are not bad, and improving.
5 year warrantee sounds good, but not so sure about their implementation. Am going to one of their trainingdays this month and hope to find out the latest.

I see you've put up an identical post on a number of forums.

As a Viessmann installer I don't know about a VD200 model. The 200W model has a different heat exchanger to the Giannoni stuff you are used to.

Whether or not it is worth the money rather depends on what criteria you are evaluating it from. It's not as easy to install or as pretty as a Vaillant.

Miles better made than an Alpha or a Biasibub but then we are talking very different price points.

It has an internal diverter valve which can be useful if you can get your head round the control system.

As a professional installer I wonder whether you should be advising a customer based on the views of myself and others on an internet forum. I own an installation company, but I could be a dog.

the 100w is a baby version of the 200w. less interface from an installers point of view.but just as good.the old 100 were not good due to being made for the uk market.this was revised, with the 100w.i fitted alot of the 100w. and have to say no probs.even if, 5 years guarantee and a good backing with the rep helps.

the easyist way of working out which boiler to install for a family member

do you know how to fix a biasi?
do you know how to fix a viessmann?
do you know how to fix a valliant?
do you know how to fix a alpha?

If no to all of them then fit the one you feel most confident on and have the most experience on. I would not be installing a boiler that you have no idea about. Also you needed to have gone to viessmann training thing to give a 5 year warranty

nice 1 for shedding a bit of light on the matter. The house in question is starting oct, so i thought i would do some homework! althought saying that, stick to what you know could be the way forward. anyway, going to go down to telford for the training course and find out what they have to say.

simond, isnt that what copy and paste is for? and if you are a dog you are a very clever one!
