asbestos in storage heaters

When was asbestos stopped being used in storage heaters and what components were they used for.
l have a dimplex storage heater and just wanted to check up before taking the bricks out for moving the heater
It has a flex with the brown/blue and green earth cable colours ,so when were these colours on the electrics changed and when was asbestos stopped being used.
Is there a web site anywhere with a run down on which heaters have and dont have .asbestos

most likely the older ones with red and black flex, pretty sure it was a large sheet mounted on the inside of the cover covering the entire face.

The AIC site that comes up on the Google search provides some detail on the location of asbestos. Have you looked at it?
You would have to call the manufacturer for more.
