That's your weakness then. We do it - you talk about it. Never seen rot in CCA timber yet -and until I do - I won't waste time and effort and money on it. But if you want to - then be my guest.

Are you seriously suggesting that you know more than TRADA (Timber Research & Development Association), Osmose & Arch Timber Treatments (2 of Europe's largest manufacturers of timber treatment chemicals) and numerous merchants, importers and distributors?

If you are then fair enough, but there is no point in me continuing to discuss this with you. It's ignorance such as this that holds timber and timber products back from realising their full potential.

Do you only ever believe science if you have 'seen it yourself'? I have never seen a Kangaroo, a hurricane or the Northern Lights but I am fairly sure they are real and do actually exist.

I know what I see and experience, that'll do me thanks all the same. Have you ever cut a piece of freshly treated timber? It weighs a ton and is sodden right through. As I said before, when I start to see signs of rot within ten years then maybe I'll change my ways. Until that time I won't. Sorry and all that. (and I've seen plenty older than ten years).

I have never seen a Kangaroo.

If you're in Yorkshire, you should get yourself over to Flamingo Land for a nice day out, I believe they have kangaroos there.
