Standard kitchen appliance measurements

When fitting a kitchen what is the standard gap size you leave so the appliances can go in? I've just had a new one fitted but the gap size may be wrong and I am struggling to get a cooker that will fit as most are 60cm.

The gaps they have left are:

Washing machine: 60cm
Cooker: 58cm
Fridge / freezer: 63

Surely I should have 60cm for the cooker? Should I get them back to fix it? Is it standard to leave 60cm when you have the space?

afaik most appliances are 600mm i leave a gap of 610 where possible so there isnt too much of a struggle to get them in.

Standard opening for freestanding appliances is 600mm as most are about 595mm wide this gives a bit of play.

For integrated you would allow 564 which is a 600mm nominal carcase less twice the 18mm board width.

well if you cant get your appliances in then i would get them back to sort out the problem,they shouldve made sure.

With the cooker you need an air gap, its not about fitting it in the gap. So look at the appliance you are after & check with install/fitting instructions.

There is no standard size, a variety of sizes are available, you purchase prior to fitting the kitchen and tell fitter what size you have otherwise it's just guesswork.
The gap size is decided at kitchen planning stage.
The appliance guide in other post is a work of fiction.

Manufactures MAKE to standard sizes.
They are competitive I worked in DA development for 20 years. There are sizes & specs that they ALL meet. Think there are 2 standards, Europe & the rest.
When I say manufactures I mean Appliances & cabinets, although if you are making a kitchen the gap between cabinets may vary, but it should be to fit the manufactures appliances.
