Electric Oven

I am toying with the idea of fitting an electric oven instead of a gas one as the price of gas ovens (built in ) are quite shocking.

I only have room for a 600 single oven and have been advised that I can use a socket for its power and not have to have its own wired in circuit.

Is this correct and does anyone have any recommendations please.

If the load is < 3kW then it can run from a 13A socket, although it is recommended that fixed appliances of greater than 2kW load be fed from their own dedicated circuit.

Providing it is rated below 3kW can be 13amp plug, the likelihood is that a moulded plug will be already on the appliance.
