dextrous

One of my cats left home last saturday. Been with us for about 18 months along with her brother, both from being young kittens. Both been neutered and microchipped. Having walked the area repeatedly, she has been seen by all of us a couple of hundred yards away on several occasions over the last couple of days. She must be being fed by someone. She runs away when we approach her.

Whaddya think - will she come home or what? Anyone got any experience of this sort of thing. Dont't mind her going off for a few days, but would be nice if she popped in now and again - her brother misses her in any case

Try laying a trail of food from where you usually spot her back to your door.
Might tempt hr home.
Good luck mate.

Cats are selfish... they only use you for shelter... whereas pet dog are grateful for being part of your pack.

I don't know the answer to your question, but i understand how devastating it can be when you lose a pet you've become attached to.

I guess you just need to think that the cat is happy!

Having had a problem with a neighbours cat a couple of years back, (feel free to search the forum), I would imagine that your neighbours would be glad to see the back of the thing. For their sake, I hope that your search is on-going!

Oh yes indeedy. Just got back from a quick walk round the block. Her brother walked alongside me (of his own free will - we're close like that), since his eyes are better than mine at night, and he knows what to smell for :!:

This is all true I'm afraid - I have resorted to walking the streets in the middle of the night like the pied bl**dy piper

I think we're just can openers to cats. My Mum had the same problem years ago and we found the thankless little fur-ball had moved in with a family down the road. The guy was a fisherman. When we got her home we had to change her diet to fish.

I think you might have to track her to the food source. Maybe you have to invest in a few jars of caviar   .

Unless of course you enjoy these little night time forays ..... ;)

Cats are very resillient and she will come back if it suits her. If you manage to snare her she will only go off again.

Wait for her to come back in her own time. :D
