You certainly seem to get a lot for your money - I think its worth getting as a starter kit.
A soft pad for the trolley jack is well worth it though - saves quite a bit of scraping damage.
Personally I prefer two large trolley jacks and I don't use a creeper - but the axle stands are a must if you are crawling underneath.

hi guys..is this halfords car kit ideal for servicing my car at home...anyone got one..how good is it ?..seems to have some good reviews..was thinking of getting it..

I haven't got the full kit, but I've got a jack that I bought at Halfords that looks exactly like that one. I've had my one for more than ten years now (I think), so whether Halfords are using the same producers and specs I don't know, but mine has served me really well (for the price). I use mine for regular diy, it's had much more use than most diyers would ever need it for, and it has no problem lifting vans as well as cars. I do always lower the vehicles onto axle stands though, rather than let the jack take the weight for any length of time. And I had to top it up with oil for the first time only very recently. I'd recommend one like mine for occasional use definitely.
