Di, what you have to remember about Nuke is that he doesn't make useful or complimentary posts, just wind-ups.

Diane, life and new of the gas variety, have history. Obviously you are likely to side with life because you are doing the internet fling thing, but you do seem to be looking for offence.
For example, I am sure if Life had made the same comment it would all be sweetness and light, it was after all just a joke, even if it was a strange one.
And New, try to not be so quick to react, the internet couple are going to stick together.
