Broken Cistern

Hi

My cistern has just broken. I would predict the toilet is 30 years old, so not sure if parts are available. There is a metal ring attached to the plunger. Im not too slick at this stuff so ive attached links to pictures in the hope someone can advise!

I would renew the lot if 30 yrs old. You can get a complete loo for £50 in the sheds.

Metal ring for 50p . diy shed or plumbers merchant . don`t let the spindle fall down as you take one out and thread the new one in Old one is brass - new ones are stainless steel

IF the pin does fall down inside the syphon you can push it back up by gently easing the top of the syphon over with one hand and pushing your other hand underneath and push up the plate with your other hand you then need to let go the top of the syphon (which traps your fingers but never mind) then push the link pin through the hole in the pin
