Cartridge was knackered on one and When I tried to take of the top nut their was hardly anything to grab onto barely a few mill of nut, do they make these like this purposely or what?

I could'nt do it without grabbing the chrome body to hold against for force so I did'nt do it. :shock:

so the recession is finally here as gas fitters try to repair water taps.
there is probaly a special tool made to do that job or its a left hand thread or they want you to buy a complete new tap.

:lol: yes to all the above,, but TBH it was for an old chap near me who wa a friend of a friend type of thing, he eventually tried himself after I gave up and damaged the tap body and it broke :idea: then I Installed a new one for him, clever eh, :wink:
You plumbers can keep your tap changing jobs believe me I don't want the **** :lol:
