25mm tails, Double Insulated, 19 cores!

Finally a soloution to virtually rigid meter tails, increase the number of cores to 19!

Bumped into a meter fixer the other day and he gave me an off-cut, very impressed!

Anyone else come across this before, what did concern me was it had 'Kablo' stamped on the side and the outer insulation seemed rough. I understand Kablo is Turkish for 'Crap Cable'?

Nahh. Install Hager CU with the VAM00 tail kit.

I'm using the 19 core stuff on a contract now, the only problem is its awkward to strip because the sheath is a brittle plastic.

Where can you get the crimps on the end of the tails that you can see in this image by the way? I am guesing here, but simply cutting and fixing the tails in without a crimp at the end isnt the best way of doing it?

also, those crimps on the end of the neurals dont look as if they can hold enough current compared to the copper wiring?

Do you need to use a torque meter when screwing down the terminals on the RCD/MCBs/Neutral bar and can you overtighten them?

They're only an inch long. It's not as if they're going to melt.

I was thinking more about cross sectional area than ength. Fuse wire is only short, but I wouldnt put a 3 amp fuse where a 13 amp is needed!

My point is that it's not going to build up enough heat, and it's so short as to not be a weak link. The insulation will be rated for much higher operating temps than PVC cable.
