John, got a 2001 51 plate astra, 1.4 16v, blown the engine and i was wondering if a 1.6 16v would be a straight swap over

Hi Jimmy I really wish I could answer that one for you, but its impossible to be accurate enough.
All i can say is that the specifications for those engines are remarkably similar so there seems to be a good chance - however you would need to compare the engine mountings really.
Maybe a Vauxhall forum would be a better place to go - or even a specialist breaker could provide better info!

2 different codes mate, one is a NZ14 something and the other is an ZN16ZNS or something like that, but definately different, but thanks for trying to help, it is appreciated
