Gas Boiler Servicing : Advice Please!

QUOTE:pS.
I am not a gas engineer but am a qualified engineer having served a 5-year apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce (Bristol) Ltd and have worked as an R&D engineer with Ford Motor Company and others.
The DIY project I am most proud of is building and flying a single seat aircraft powered by a heavily modded VW Beetle engine.

Well done for all that but I would not be let loose on a Trent engine without some qualifications.
As said before no diy gas work advice given here.

I have been given intelligent and helpful answers to my questions at two other forums.

As for the inept on this thread; the language used, by one particular, and the general attitude by some others is not going to win you any friends.
Furthermore, it gives tradesmen such as yourselves a bad name.
It is clear that whatever training gas fitters get; that is badly lacking in PR skills.

SHAME ON YOU!

I prefer not to associate with the riff-raff of this world.
So, my last post here. And I am unsubscribing from this forum.

Oh dear, there goes another potentially dangerous, gas incompetent advice seeker who's mis-interpreted himself as being some sort of customer. How many can the industry afford to lose?

Why bother us lot then?

bengasman gave you in-depth advise you would not have received elsewhere. ;)
We all have friends, we also have paying customers - of which you are not. If you don't like free advice, then pizz off.

Who gives a flying fvk? I don't. We are trying to keep you, your family and anyone living in the vicinty of 150 metres of your property alive (oh, and follwing site rules about advice on gas).

Toodlepip then. *Waves meekly* I'm sure we will mourn your departure.
