Hi,

I have some 40mm Thermaline Super and was wondering what the best method to fix it was?

I am fixing to soft red bricks, typical of victorian mid terraces. What surface preparation do I need to make?

I have heard methods such as dot'dab and/or using sleeved nail fixing but would like know which is the correct one to use.

Thanks for your help.

You can dot & dab to locate initially but you should also mechanically fix; this can be nialable fixings or screw, through fixings.

Thank you for your advice :) Should I treat the soft red bricks before applying adhesive? Soft red vricks by nature have a powdery finish and was wondering whether this effected the adhesive!!

Thanks

How about a pub meal?

I'd try 50% PVA mix to see if that got rid of the powderyness. Nothing will stick to powdery brick.
