We have recently had pergo laminate fitted but if you stand on the join of 2 boards it forms a lip which you can catch your foot on (this occurs in 2 places). As the job isn't finished I will ask for this to be lifted, rectified and refit. Will this cause damage to the boards or, if done correctly, go straight back down?

Thanks

There should be no damage caused, it's very unusual for Pergo to suffer engineering problems with the joints, I would lay money on there being some dust or residue from cutting the boards in the joint in this area causing the 'peaking'. It's an easy fix anyway, unclick and clean the joint out or replace the two boards, fair play for investing in a quality floor there btw, Pergo arguably the best in the business, the original laminate although a little less 'known' than product like Quickstep because Pergo are far more fussy who they sell their product through.

new boards 0 to 10% chance off damage [especially if incorrectly fitted]
20 to 30% chance off damage if more than 3 years old assuming they where not glued
