Polythene on top of new screed

I have recently put a 60 mm screed down in 2 sections.
The first section I left the sheet on for 2 weeks.
The 2nd came off after 5 days.
Both look exactly the same to me.
It will dry more rapidly when the sheet comes off, so I suppose the longer you can keep it on the better. But thats just my opinion.
