Seems a happy forum of late...

Nah, everyone is here watching....I thought it pretty stupid when I posted in the 'trolling' thread, then got trolled. And the thread was deleted?! Surely Admin must address these issues?

I recently heard a quote of 'Peru is the capital city of Portugal', on TV, many people seem to be without a brain?

Many more similar people seem to post on here. They seem to post against the grain, or regards to what was posted.

But I have to add, as is my wish, WHY was my partner deleted after 4 posts, NOT slagging anyone off, when the people that do do the slagging off remain.

I think the admins should have a hall of shame, and ban people, and say why they ban people. Everytime I ask admin, as there is no central point, the thread gets deleted.

I presume admin think I posted under another name, but if they check the IP, they will find it not to be the case.

Does your partner not live in the same house as you, and use the same internet connection as you?

But I have to add, as is my wish, .
Be careful what you wish for

Lost me there? Don't understand, as per Monkeh's reply. "Does your partner live in the same house, and use the same internet connection as me".....

No Monkeh....most couples live apart, in different houses, with different internet companies. What a daft thing to say! I'm guessing you mean that the router address can only be pinged, not true.

If my partner, or son wants to post on the same site as me, what is wrong with that? They have their own computer, they have their own opinion, say what they like. So why ban them?

But if my partner or son is at a different address, they are fine to post?

I've checked the rules carefully, and this rule isn't listed. So in effect the website are breaking their own rules, and breaking the law, the website is not allowed to ban my partner. Just for being my partner. So they are discriminating against her, by denying her access, which is against her human rights.

But most posts regarding users rights are deleted by admin anyway, as the admin are gungho. And never respond to any complaint.

'The website is not allowed to ban my partner'

I should imagine they can ban who the hell they like...but unlike you, if it was me or mine I would think ****** you.... and go elsewhere.

Thats an option..but the T&C's don't denote the rule that banned my partner....

The website has its rules, and this one excluded them....but every time I question them, I get deleted a bit. Whereas they don't ban people that post abuse. Where is the clarity? I'll post every day, until my partner is restored.

I'm just trying to point out that, thanks to NAT, you can have any number of machines on your network and they all get the same IP as far as the internet is concerned. But I'm sure you'll try and argue, because you clearly know better..

Mickymoody
I missed all you partners post therefor can not comment on the reasons she could have been banned. I know some past (still present ) members have had posts deleted or even been banned from the site for very little and I don't understand the inconsistencies shown by admin and mods regarding this?
So what was your partner told see/he had been banned for?
Have you contacted the admin direct raising the issue you have about this?

I find Diynot forums a pretty friendly and helpful place. It has a few 'characters' but they are not a bad bunch, and often add wit to the topics posted.

As in all walks of life, we will never all agree with each others views, but I think the bulk of us actually respect that and do not take opposing opinions to heart.

Keep it up all you Diynot'ers .......... and thank you!.
